Accessibility Statement
We want this site to work for everyone who needs to hire an exterior contractor, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.
Our conformance target
This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. That is the target we hold ourselves to and it is the standard the site was tested against before launch.
Conformance is a moving target rather than a finished state. Content changes, browsers change, and assistive technology changes. When something falls short we would rather hear about it and fix it than have it sit there.

What we have done
- Semantic landmarks on every page, one H1 per page, and heading levels that descend without skipping.
- A skip to main content link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard, in a logical order, with no positive tabindex.
- Visible focus indicators on every focusable element, at a minimum 3:1 contrast against their background.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body copy and 3:1 for large text, verified by computation rather than by eye.
- Meaningful alt text on every image, and empty alt on anything decorative.
- Form inputs with programmatically associated labels, required fields marked in text, and errors announced politely and linked to their field.
- A mobile navigation button with aria-expanded and aria-controls that traps focus while open and closes on Escape.
- All animation collapsed to instant when the browser requests reduced motion.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels, including the phone number in the header.
- Page zoom to 200 percent and a 320 pixel viewport both work without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.

If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, tell us and we will fix it. Please say which page you were on and what happened, and we will get back to you.
There is no email address published here yet because the client has not supplied one. That is on the outstanding list, and an accessibility statement is more useful with a written contact route on it as well as a phone number.
Known limitations
- The map on the About and Contact pages is a Google Maps embed. We do not control its internal accessibility, so the full address is written out in text next to it and the phone number is always available as an alternative.
- Photography across the site is still being added. Every image will carry alt text describing the actual work and the town, not a generic label.
